  Everyone is welcome to attend the online courses of the National Central Library(NCL) E-Learning Campus. Nearly all of the courses are offered free of charge.

There are over 100 online courses grouped into three major categories

* Library Professional Training Series: Cataloging & Classification, County Library Management, Library Automation, Reader Service, School Library Management, and Global Village.

* IT Applications Series: XML Theory & Practice, Information Security, FrontPage 2003, Apache Server Installation, and e-Learning Development & Practice.

* Library Use Series: Library and Information Literacy, Reading Methods, and Web-schoold Dataschool Use Training.

* First online repository of online courses for library professionals in Taiwan.

* Over 100 instructors.

* Over 100 courses available for librarians, school teachers, students, and the general public.

The NCL created the E-Learning Campus in 2001 to fulfill following missions
*
* To provide an online learning environment.
*
* To promote distance education.
*
* To build an online repository of educational resources.
*
* To promote library and information literacy.
*
* To advocate lifelong learning.
*
The E-Learning Campus is a collaborative effort by the Library Association of the Republic of China (Taiwan), the National Central Library and information science departments of various universities, and domestic libraries to provide online courses for library users and library staff.
